Stanley Burroughs the renowned nature guru invented the Lemonade diet and has many other names and among them is Master Cleanser Diet. Burroughs was deeply interested in finding processes to detoxify the body as well as reflexology and his thoughts and research was embodied in a book called “The Master Cleanser Diet”.
The foundation of the diet is Lemonade, Cayenne Pepper mixed with Maple Syrup was formulated with the aim to remove toxins from the body as well nurse it back to good health. He further recommended the diet for overweight individuals owing to its ability to foster weight loss. The program involves following the Lemonade diet from between ten and forty days. He provides the exact measurements of the lemonade juice and allows it to be the only ingested item for the duration of the program.
The fact that you would only be drinking lemonade for the next ten days minimum would ensure that weight would be lost. This is not advisable though to those with pre existing medical conditions such as diabetes or hypertension and if you do plan on undergoing the program it would be best that it be done under the supervision of a licensed physician.
Another Cookie Diet Review – Dr Sanford Siegal Cookies
February 23, 2009 by Sherry Ingram · Leave a Comment
There are questions as to the effectivity and reliability of this diet program formulated by Dr Sanford Siegal, the noted thyroid specialist.
In essence, the diet plan consists of a low calorie intake routine which was originally a thyroid boosting diet cookie in 2002 and now he has repackaged it to what he calls the Cookie diet with a claim of weight loss of 15 lbs per month. The plan is the ingestion of six special Siegal cookies when one is hungry during the course of the day with eight glasses of water with one full meal at dinner. This dinner is 6 ounces of lean protein and a cup of vegetables. The prescription also includes diet suppressant medication and thyroid gland management medication. This is not included in the adverts but the plan would surely result in major weight loss at a short amount of time.
All in all, the cookie diet is not about oreos or chocolate chip cookies, it is a very low calorie, low carbohydrate diet plan that is quite extreme. It is best to seek out medical expertise before undertaking this diet plan.
Diet Supplement Review- Homeopathic Supplements

The Homeopathic Supplement Vaxa is the product under review. The company is offering Nutraceuticals which helps in the body’s recuperation and regeneration. The product helps in regeneration of pathways so that the body’s chemical processes can be commenced. Secondly, the products provide for the supply of building materials through which regeneration can be used. They claim that without these two things, the body shuts down processes and this becomes the signs of inefficiency and poor health.
The product’s aims are laudable but the claim that it has a special combination of all natural medication and nutrition supplemented nutraceuticals, then one begins to wonder what the content of these supplements are and what are their effects. In essence this supplement aims to assist the body in performing its tasks and at the same time help in vitality of the physical body. But without the specifics of these chemicals and any other studies, there may be issues as to its contents and affectivity. There are specific remedies for specific ailments and all of them have not yet been evaluated by the FDA. So before taking the supplements, it is best that one consults their physician.

Prostate Cancer Diet – Another Diet Review
February 23, 2009 by Sherry Ingram · Leave a Comment
Prostate cancer treatment often leaves the patient without an appetite, tired, nauseous, with a sore mouth and throat. As the second leading cancer affecting men worldwide, it has though a survival rate of about 60 percent.
According to the World Cancer Research Fund, foods with lycopene help prevent this condition while those rich in calcium contribute to its growth in men. There are many proposed diets for this disease, each as unique as its source. The first step though is having a prostate exam, especially for men above 40 years of age to see if there is any inflammation internally. If there is, then it would be best to seek out an urologist to find out the extent of the issue. They would know what is best for you at this stage of the treatment.
There is a theory that cancer is genetic with a predisposition as one of the factors for its contraction later in life. Also, when conventional medication has failed to provide reliable results, other options need to be explored. Some opt for homeopathic remedies such as massive infusions of vitamins. In the end, close coordination with a physician or oncologist would be the best way to this crippling disease and not merely changing diets.
Diet Supplement Review – Organic Dietary Supplements

Real Food Organics offers its own nutritional supplement line since they believe that many other vitamins and supplements available in the market today contain many lethal synthetic substances that instead helping actually puts your health in danger.
Another organic feature of the product is its biodegradable box and recyclable glass packaging. This is a new concept but isn’t this just a way for us unknowingly purchasing an item that we don’t need or we can derive on our very own. Maybe because of the slick packaging that many are lulled into the belief that the food we eat do not contain the necessary recommended dosages of vitamins and minerals. You need to firs look at your dietary habits to see if the vitamins are enough but for some lifestyles, like vegans, these are recommended.
There are horror storied of having too much vitamins in one’s system. Well anything in excess is bad for the health but regarding the use of vitamins and supplements, one needs to review the need first before going out and purchasing any item to avoid wasting money on non-essential items.
A Diet Review on Fruit Flush Detox Diet
February 23, 2009 by Sherry Ingram · Leave a Comment
The Fruit Flush Detoxification program is the brainchild of Jay Robb and it has joined the bandwagon of literature in espousing the use of detoxification as a weight loss tool. The concept is based on the body’s need for proper cleaning every so often to remove accumulated toxins and make the body work efficiently. The program proposes that the dieter would be required to make fruits their only diet for three days, be it actual fruit or juice with water. The cleansing process assumes that excess weight is also removed and also helps in the learning process of curbing the urge to snack to assuage cravings.
The drawback in this diet plan is that the weight lost in the three days while on the program actually is regained by the dieter. The program is this effective in its original purpose and that is to purge toxins from the body but does not to any extent contribute to being an effective weight loss program. Thus do not be conned into thinking that detoxification works to lose weight as the weight lost are the toxins and nothing more.
Water Hydration Therapy
February 23, 2009 by Sherry Ingram · Leave a Comment
The body contains almost 60% water and by products and without it the body’s normal functions would be hampered and even shut down. Recent studies have indicated that the brain does not distinguish between “thirst” and “hunger” so the message it sends to find sustenance can be just about thirst.
With this as the background, a simple dietary lifestyle change is being offered. Called Water Hydration therapy, it goes beyond the childhood advice of drinking eight glasses of water a day to a specific time frame initiated response to drinking water. As soon as you wake up, it is suggested you drink a glass for it helps jumpstart the body by increasing the metabolic rate and replace lost fluids in sleep. Then prior to meals, one needs to drink a full glass in order to trick the brain into thinking it is full. Instead of soda or coffee, have water with lemon during breaks and right before going to sleep. You may find yourself going to the bathroom more often, but the benefits of waste elimination, higher metabolic rate and recuperative powers of water are always present in each glass that is drunk.
Diet Review – Japanese Sukiyaki Diet
February 23, 2009 by Sherry Ingram · Leave a Comment
Sukiyaki is a savoury soup dish that uses beef and vegetables. The beef is cooked slowly to become tender and then soy sauce and sugar is added to make the broth. Then add other vegetable until the raw egg is cooked in the extremely hot soup.
The meal is complete in itself, with noodles, green leafy vegetables, beans, beef and egg as its sources of carbohydrates, proteins and minerals. It is not entirely raw as the food is cooked in the broth itself. The egg tops off the meal. Also added is mirin and dashi.
If one exclusively dines on this, then there is a definite control over the intake of calories as little sugar is allowed when the meal is being cooked. All the ingredients require that it be fresh. This is a good meal practice with the only drawback is the boredom with the meal. Also, there is protein coming from the beef but there is an absence of essential fatty acids and other essential minerals with the exclusivity of diet plan also. The meal also is slow cooked, so having this as a dieter’s dish may propose some unique problems altogether.
