The Hilton Head Health Diet consists of counselling by experienced staff, like Fitness Specialists, Culinary Specialists, Nutrition Specialists and Wellness Specialists. The program is a relaxed residential weight loss spa that provides the individual a specialized program designed specifically for one’s current health and well-being. Set in one of the most luxurious locations in the world, often the Hilton Head Health Diet is a holistic approach to weight loss and over-all health. 

There are only a few of these specialized centers for wellness and health. With specific goals on weight loss, fitness level, reduction of health risks, management type II diabetes, arthritis management, metabolic rate stimulation, increase in stamina, stress management and other major life transitions. This is also one of the most expensive ones and is not covered under health insurance. Despite the costs, this is one of the most effective and excellent weight loss programs available, as the professional support, personalized training and individualized counselling provides a holistic approach to weight management and weight loss.

The Take Off Pounds Sensibly Program is a national non-profit support group that uses small group counselling to help in taking off pounds sensibly. This was an organization founded in 1948 that focuses on getting their food and exercise plans from their personal physicians or health care professionals. In this organization, there are no commercial products that are endorsed or peddled in its over 10,000 independent chapters. 

The foundation of TOPS is that change comes from within the individual and it is in this manner that makes sustainable change possible. To foment this change, the individual needs to be in a supportive environment that allows one to learn new habits to be able to achieve a healthy lifestyle and weight loss goals.

 

The program is a low cost weight loss program that uses a food exchange program that follows the guidelines of the American Dietetic Association. There are weekly meetings amongst members and there are Ambassadors that talk about their weight loss struggles and successes. And upon review, the long experience of the TOPS organization that provides an informal and low cost setting with n expansive motivational support system that assists the individual weight loss efforts. This is a very generic program and relies mainly on an individual’s determination as to what is an effective diet program.

The LEARN Program is contained in a book often used as a supplement to other weight management regimens. In essence, LEARN stands for Lifestyle, Exercise, Attitudes, Relationships and Nutrition. This multi-level program covers stress management, healthy eating and physical workouts that can assist in your intended goals. The LEARN program is still one of the most complete and up to date behavioural modification technique to address weight management concerns.

The LEARN program is a guidebook to determine your current state before undertaking a weight control regimen. This is done through questionnaires, computations and lessons on how to properly manage the stress points you as an individual would have which hinder in your proper management of your weight. Overall, this is a complete self-help program because of its sound fundamentals. It has been tested and refined over a long period of time and is a holistic approach to complete weight management.

The YMCA Diet Plan Review

The YMCA is an acronym for Young Men’s Christian Association, but since its inception in has moved forward and has accepted individuals of differing denominations and creeds. The differing YMCA chapters have differing programs from location to location. As of the latest count, 370 of the 967 YMCA’s across the nation have joined Activate America. Activate America is a school program designed to help individuals have better habits and an after school program for wellness was also established. 

The program is designed for a three-day week, with each participant having a structured exercise program with lots of guidance on healthy eating and snacking. All across the YMCA chapters, nutritional counselling is free with an option to have your nutritional program designed suited to your lifestyle.  The problem though is the lack of professional expertise regarding these weight loss counselling and guidance, making the programs more piecemeal than effective. Also, there is not much follow through as people come and go at the YMCA thus the placement on the more emphasis on the program espoused by Activate America.
