Another Cookie Diet Review – Dr Sanford Siegal Cookies

There are questions as to the effectivity and reliability of this diet program formulated by Dr Sanford Siegal, the noted thyroid specialist.

In essence, the diet plan consists of a low calorie intake routine which was originally a thyroid boosting diet cookie in 2002 and now he has repackaged it to what he calls the Cookie diet with a claim of weight loss of 15 lbs per month. The plan is the ingestion of six special Siegal cookies when one is hungry during the course of the day with eight glasses of water with one full meal at dinner. This dinner is 6 ounces of lean protein and a cup of vegetables. The prescription also includes diet suppressant medication and thyroid gland management medication. This is not included in the adverts but the plan would surely result in major weight loss at a short amount of time.

All in all, the cookie diet is not about oreos or chocolate chip cookies, it is a very low calorie, low carbohydrate diet plan that is quite extreme. It is best to seek out medical expertise before undertaking this diet plan.

Dual Action Diet Cleanse Review – Water Therapy

The basic requirement is eight glasses of water a day for good health but can it lead to weight loss? As the body is predominantly water, the need for constant replenishment is crucial to over-all health. A body that is hydrated well allows bodily processes to happen efficiently. Drinking water thus helps in the chemical processes of the body leading to a higher metabolic rate and this leads to weight loss.

It has been proven that with a properly hydrated body helps burn calories at a higher rate than normal. Also, thirst and hunger are sensations that occur simultaneously. Thus by quenching the thirst, you are also suppressing hunger. Since most of the food available is water based, the more we eat may not necessarily be for hunger but for the cravings for liquids. Instead of drinking, people would eat to gain the necessary fluids but with the effect of gaining calories.

Thus, by drinking water, you feel full and thus need not eat. But if you do eat, it is important to drink water as many of the processed foods lack water and even take on water reserves for digestive purposes. So, to control the cravings, drink water as it helps quench the thirst.
