The Lemonade Diet Review

Stanley Burroughs the renowned nature guru invented the Lemonade diet and has many other names and among them is Master Cleanser Diet. Burroughs was deeply interested in finding processes to detoxify the body as well as reflexology and his thoughts and research was embodied in a book called “The Master Cleanser Diet”.

The foundation of the diet is Lemonade, Cayenne Pepper mixed with Maple Syrup was formulated with the aim to remove toxins from the body as well nurse it back to good health. He further recommended the diet for overweight individuals owing to its ability to foster weight loss. The program involves following the Lemonade diet from between ten and forty days. He provides the exact measurements of the lemonade juice and allows it to be the only ingested item for the duration of the program.

The fact that you would only be drinking lemonade for the next ten days minimum would ensure that weight would be lost. This is not advisable though to those with pre existing medical conditions such as diabetes or hypertension and if you do plan on undergoing the program it would be best that it be done under the supervision of a licensed physician.

A Diet Review on Fruit Flush Detox Diet

February 23, 2009 by Sherry Ingram · Leave a Comment

The Fruit Flush Detoxification program is the brainchild of Jay Robb and it has joined the bandwagon of literature in espousing the use of detoxification as a weight loss tool. The concept is based on the body’s need for proper cleaning every so often to remove accumulated toxins and make the body work efficiently.  The program proposes that the dieter would be required to make fruits their only diet for three days, be it actual fruit or juice with water. The cleansing process assumes that excess weight is also removed and also helps in the learning process of curbing the urge to snack to assuage cravings.

The drawback in this diet plan is that the weight lost in the three days while on the program actually is regained by the dieter. The program is this effective in its original purpose and that is to purge toxins from the body but does not to any extent contribute to being an effective weight loss program. Thus do not be conned into thinking that detoxification works to lose weight as the weight lost are the toxins and nothing more.

Diet Review – Fruit Cleansing Diet

February 23, 2009 by Sherry Ingram · Leave a Comment

The freshness of the fruit coupled with its flavour and texture are but some of the benefits in undergoing a fruit cleansing diet. When ingested, the natural ingredients allow for instantaneous digestion without much work by the body. The sucrose in the fruit is easily burned and the fibres help in colon maintenance. There is nothing about fruits that can be said to be harmful to the body, though not all fruits are edible.

By exclusive dining of fruit, the body undergoes a cleansing and detoxification program which is much more extensive than a fruit juice diet. The digestive system does not shut down and there is not much change in the metabolic rate coupled with lowered calorie ingestion helps in the body’s detoxification.

There are drawbacks though as the cleansing of the body and the removal of toxins, there would be some effects that need to be addressed, such as foul breath and some weakness spells. But the diet is only for a short period of time and does not create weight loss but instead is all about toxin dissipation from the body.

The Sacred Heart Medical Diet Review

February 22, 2009 by Sherry Ingram · Leave a Comment

This diet plan brings negative feelings from the diet specialists and the medical professionals. The Sacred Heart Medical Diet plan is not a long term diet solution but is simply the act of eating prepared soup at any time one feels hunger pangs. This soup is a concoction of mixed vegetables which is cooked the day before.

The diet soup will help the dieter fill up so that they do not feel hungry and end up eating something detrimental to one’s overall health. This diet is only temporary in nature and may result in yoyo dieting once the regimen is not followed. The danger in this kind of dieting is that while it helps detoxify the body but the allowed use of caffeine rich drinks would result in dramatic and even dangerous weight loss because of the frequency in bowel movement.

The sudden weight loss because of a liquid only diet and unbridled use of caffeine can result in an unhealthy diet and major health problems. The quick loss of water weight would result not only in major weight loss, but also loss of proteins, carbohydrates and minerals that would lead you straight to the Sacred Heart Medical Centre.

The Mason One Week Detox Diet Plan Review

February 22, 2009 by Sherry Ingram · Leave a Comment

The diet plan is not something you would use to lose weight. The formulation of the one week detoxification diet plan is for the purpose of removing accumulated toxins brought about by long periods of overeating resulting in digestive system problems or it can simply be used for internal body cleansing.

The most that you can lose in this diet plan is one pound a day. What the plan does is require the intake of a low calorie diet with a daily portion of only one kind of food for the duration of the week. The plan is not easy to comply with for the first three days as the body adjusts to the sudden change in consumable food. As this occurs, your body is actually cleaning out the toxins in the system, thus the resulting discomfort. The diet can then be halted when the desired weight is achieved.

This is helps in making your digestive system work at its peak efficiency by regular cleaning. This is best recommended for those going to undertake a major diet and this is a good preparatory diet before undertaking the major life changing event which is altering your dietary habits.

February 12, 2009 by Sherry Ingram · Leave a Comment

TV personality and former model Karen Fischer has moved to a healthier role by the release of her book “The Healthy Skin Diet”. The book provides the step-by-step procedure in having beautiful skin in just eight weeks.  It reveals all her secrets on skin care for the average person to emulate and use.

The book provides for a complete program to achieve its promised goals. There is a three-day detoxification plan using simple, well-balanced meals. There are also case studies for some of the more successful skin regimens and there are answers to frequently asked questions with exercises to help in the proper skin care. The other chapters in the book discuss specific treatments for disorders such as cellulite removal to acne, delivered in the Karen Fischer way.

The good thing about the book is that it provides solutions to problems and not merely provides very skin-deep solutions. The treatment plans for the skin disorders may not necessarily be just a skin problem but a deeper and more troubling root may be the cause of it. The book discusses what may be the sources of the problem, but it is still best to consult a physician

Rice Diet Review

February 12, 2009 by Sherry Ingram · Leave a Comment

Salt addicts beware as the detoxification process of the Rice Diet would take you off that dependency.

The Rice Diet was conceptualised in 1939 designed to manage weight issues such as obesity, diabetes, heart disease, and high blood pressure among others. Weight loss is quickly realized by the reduction of calorie and fat intake and salt ingestion. There is a whole host of literature on the Diet plan including a clinic located in Durham, North Carolina. It is essentially an outpatient clinic catering to walk-in patients with weight management issues. Treatment consists of a rice diet program, workout regimen, group therapy sessions and stress management.

The simple steps in the Rice Diet plan are as follows:

  • Compliance with the Rice Diet Program provisions;
  • Making the right choices regarding meals taken;
  • Finding quiet time to rest during the day;

Having a support mechanism for your diet plan amongst friends and family;

All in all, the meal plans and recipes are planned which provides for provisions for weight caused sicknesses. It helps lose weight quickly and has a plan to keep the weight off.
