How does Weight Loss and Metabolic Type Work

August 1, 2009 by Sherry Ingram · Leave a Comment

vitamins2Metabolism has a great impact in the weight loss.  Human metabolism is the speed and efficiency of the body to burn calories of the food we eat.  And metabolic typing is categorizing how the body produced energy from food.  The basic Metabolic Typing.  It includes carbohydrates, fats, minerals, proteins, and vitamins that we take in are best absorbed by the body cells at a 7.46 ideal ph level of blood.  If the ph level of the blood is too low it becomes acidic and if above it becomes alkaline and efficient for transferring food into working energy. It also affects weight loss.

With a balanced metabolism the fatty acids and glucose is oxidized efficiently.  To be able to loose weight a balanced diet is needed for each meal.  For metabolic weight loss exercise and diet is essential.  When planning for a diet, the metabolic body type should be considered.  The metabolic syndrome also affects weight loss.  Too much insulin interferes with metabolism and lead to obesity and disease.

Diet Reviews – Vegan Diet

February 23, 2009 by Sherry Ingram · Leave a Comment

Scientific studies has been springing up to indicate that vegetarian diets cause major weight loss for its adherents. The vegetarians or vegans have lower body weights and they are less prone to heart disease, hypertension, diabetes and obesity. There is no actual calorie counting or a conscious effort to lose weight but what happens is that the body naturally makes the excess go away.

The findings indicated that high fiber food help in the achievement and maintenance of body weight and there is an increase in metabolic rates after meals. This means that plants as food are being used for more efficient results rather than other foodstuff. This is exciting news as the proof of the long standing secret that fiber rich food is the better alternative and weight loss comes naturally without need for any external source for appetite suppression or thermogenic medication.

The mains drawback though is that the vegan diet has a dearth of protein and fatty acid sources. It is recommended to supplement the dietary lifestyle with an organic vitamin and mineral source to complete the minimum required daily allowances.

Diet Review – Fruit Cleansing Diet

February 23, 2009 by Sherry Ingram · Leave a Comment

The freshness of the fruit coupled with its flavour and texture are but some of the benefits in undergoing a fruit cleansing diet. When ingested, the natural ingredients allow for instantaneous digestion without much work by the body. The sucrose in the fruit is easily burned and the fibres help in colon maintenance. There is nothing about fruits that can be said to be harmful to the body, though not all fruits are edible.

By exclusive dining of fruit, the body undergoes a cleansing and detoxification program which is much more extensive than a fruit juice diet. The digestive system does not shut down and there is not much change in the metabolic rate coupled with lowered calorie ingestion helps in the body’s detoxification.

There are drawbacks though as the cleansing of the body and the removal of toxins, there would be some effects that need to be addressed, such as foul breath and some weakness spells. But the diet is only for a short period of time and does not create weight loss but instead is all about toxin dissipation from the body.

Diet Pill Review – Xenadrine

February 22, 2009 by Sherry Ingram · Leave a Comment

The Xenadrine pill claims that it is a thermogenic fat burning compound that works without the use of ephedra. It also claims that the pill is a lipolysis stimulant to help in breaking down fat into elements that can easily be used or expelled as weight. The claim is based on its own clinical research of the blend of natural ingredients that  stimulate the increase in the body’s metabolic rate and thus assist the body in burning the stored fat in the body.

These claims have been tested by the Food and Drug Administration and the Federal Trade Commission and found that the claims were untrue forcing the government agencies to take action against the manufacturers of Xenadrine. The wrongful claims suit by the FTC against the manufacturers of the pill has opened a can of worms.

Thus for one who is looking for a diet pill that does what it claims must steer clear of this pill. The cases are still in court and until its outcome can consumers really find out if the diet pill Xenadrine actually works.

Reviews of The Dynamic Duo Diet

Many lives were changed when Oprah Winfrey personally endorsed the Dynamic Duo diet plan on national television. In one of her shows, she had showcased the products of Dr Perricone, a noted dermatologist and Dr Oz her personal fitness specialist to review what she had endorsed.

The Dynamic Duo diet consists of a mixture of Acai Berry and Colon Cleanse diet plans. The Acai berry has gained prominence worldwide as to its ability to increase energy levels and add vitality to the users of the fruit in their diets. The increased energy also increases the metabolic rate allowing for a more efficient burning of calories. Also, the fruit provides the necessitated vitamins, fiber, antioxidants and minerals for daily use. When used with the Colon cleanse the plaque and toxins that accumulating in the colon is effectively removed. Dangerous bacteria are removed and bowel movement is regularized with a clear effect on the skin. This ultimately lowers blood pressure and levels of cholesterol in the body.

This is a safe way for weight loss instead of deprivation or surgery. This makes the ease of the program attractive to many and its effects are clearly achievable.

Diet Supplement Review – Fahrenheit for Women

February 22, 2009 by Sherry Ingram · Leave a Comment

The product with the brand name Fahrenheit contains a claimed super-thermogenic compound that its researchers believe is the key to the stimulation of a woman’s natural metabolism regardless of the time of day. The product manufacturers also claim that it will do as you please.

Fahrenheit further claims that its compounds protects against fat storage if ever extra calories are inadvertently consumed. The product brochure claims that the gel formula is supercharged to reduce the cravings that constantly affect a person in the normal course of the day. Overall, the product is supposedly formulated to reverse the natural reduction in the metabolic rate of women. With the increased metabolic rate more calories are burned thus lesser fat stored.

The ingredients are claimed to be a proprietary blend whose ingredients make the body work more even if no actual activity is being undertaken. There may be something quite peculiar about that which needs more examination. Sadly, there is none provided so if one does take the pill it is best that it be done under the guidance and supervision of a physician.

Souper Slim Diet Review

February 20, 2009 by Sherry Ingram · Leave a Comment

The diet was based on the kitchen soup recipes of Lillie Ross, a Mississippi grandmother. The soups she prepares are not only delectable but also healthy. The soup taken together with exercise provides for a healthy diet that can help lose weight altogether

The Master Slimming Vegetable Soup is but one of the diet soups that can be used for the active individual to provide the necessary carbohydrates, proteins and fiber.  The diet promises that you eat the food you like and not undergo much of the difficulties that normal diets have as a staple. The diet provides techniques to trick your stomach to feel it is full with a lesser intake of food. Also, the plan provides for use of ingredients that help burn calories while being digested.

The diet plan is rather complete and taken together with a recommended exercise plan may actually provide for weight loss. The key is the use of soup to counteract cravings. This makes for lowered intake of other food during the meal. Ultimately, the lowered intake and the exercise taken together would help in increasing metabolism and burn more calories

Dual Action Cleanse Review – Water with Lemon

February 15, 2009 by Sherry Ingram · Leave a Comment

Many people go through workouts without realizing the need for water in their system. The ideal ratio for water to lemons is eight ounces of water to a lemon. This is good for average people but if you are overweight, then having more water would help in weight loss, about eight to ten glasses a day.

Water is the most essential ingredient in many of the body’s processes and keeping hydrated helps optimise many bodily functions. By being starved for fluid, the body reacts by storing water in the body for its needs. Water also helps in removing toxins in the body through sweating and urinating. When this happens, the body’s metabolism increases thus burning fat that is stored in the body. With the water with lemons program, the body need not store water and become more of an engine than a water tank.

Lemons provide vitamin C that is good for the skin and increasing resistance to common diseases. The water with lemon for weight loss program helps the body perform optimally in its ordinary functions. The weight loss would be minimal, but the health benefits are great.

February 15, 2009 by Sherry Ingram · Leave a Comment

The main course of management for overweight people is by the reduction of body fat by the ingestion of fewer calories and conducting more exercise activities and the following are some of the recommended activities to achieve this.

  1. Have a healthy meal to start your day and your metabolism.
  2. Integrate more vegetables into your diet, as part of meals or snacks.
  3. Have a balanced ration of carbohydrates and lipids in your diet.
  4. Always have a balanced meal with three of the five food groups in right proportions.
  5. Small meals rather than large ones.
  6. Fat is essential, but in the right quantities.
  7. Protein helps lose body fat and repairs muscles.
  8. Fiber helps your digestive system work well.
  9. Grilled food is best as they have the fat taken out by the cooking process.

Some exercise ideas included are:

  • Exercise the largest muscle groups to get more calories burned by the activity.
  • Walking is a great exercise and increasing its intensity would help tone muscles.
  • Weight training helps in losing weight.

This does not make rapid weight loss but is essentially using the advertiser’s fluff to change the lifestyle for healthy weight loss.

Rosedale Diet Review

February 12, 2009 by Sherry Ingram · Leave a Comment

The diet plan is formulated by Dr Ron Rosedale and is based on using hormones and metabolism. The basis for the plan is the reaction to the low calorie diets that populate the market. It suggests that Rosedale diet plan can make dieters ingest lesser calories and keep the feeling of being full longer.

The main target of the diet plan is leptin as it regulates the chemical impulses to eat and determines how much food is required by the body. In addition the fat cells in the body generate the hormone leptin. So the idea in the diet is maintaining low leptin levels to trick the body to mean that you have had enough food. When the brain says you are full, it would use the stored fat cells as fuel and thus lead to weight loss.

The best part about this diet is that it is a good aid to treat weight related diseases like diabetes, high blood pressure, arthritis, osteoporosis and heart disease. By eating lean protein food, fiber rich carbohydrates and fat that is good for the body.
