For a highly advanced, modernized and civilized nation you can really notice that we are moving back. As our lifestyles evolve, we become busier and our lives are far from complicated, that leave behind the foundation of survival. Here are some guides that can take back to principles, tune out and make ourselves more natural.

1. Turn the TV off. There are a lot of activities that you can do rather than staying in front of the boob tube. Pleasurable things like doing exercise, walking in the park, playing with your child or having a talk with your loved one. You won’t notice how quickly time passes by if you’re enjoying your self than being lost in the TV vortex.

2. Did our ancestor jug down soda or frozen juice? They are delicious that’s given and they can hit down the spot. But when was the last time we had a glass of water. Early civilizations are built near a good source of water, and we still disregard its importance. To cut it short, prefer water than sugary juices they add up to your weight anyways.

3. Stop and take a deep breath. I know life has always been in a hurry, you have deadlines to meet, the traffic jam. Your house affairs as well as your responsibilities. But when was the last time you stop and think if it’s possible, nick 5 to 30 minutes of your hectic schedule to stop and meditate, pray and think about things you should be thankful for. Reflect on the things that you have and what you wanted to achieve and accomplish. Learn how to take a few deep breaths.

Like waking up every morning and brushing you teeth or taking a bath, healthy habits are refined on a day to day account. Here are some activities you can do everyday

1. Walking, running or jumping for 20 minutes of everyday, and this should become a habit.

2. Applying protection to your skin is essential; parts of your body that are exposed like face, necks arms and hand should have sun block, even in winter time. Make sure that you moisturize daily.

3. Munch on fruits veggies low fat dairy food and lean proteins instead of sweets and processed foods filled with chemicals

4.  Make sure you have a quiet time. Take some 5 minutes to meditate daily; it will surely help.

5. Looking for your spirituality will aid you in your life; know what rouses you. Make yourself conscious on things around you. Stimulate your self and gratify thy soul.

6. it’s not just your body that needs exercise, your brains too. Read, play some puzzles, learn new things. Our brain degenerates with lack of use.

7.  Hug people you love, it pays off.

Weight loss plans

If you have a weight loss plan you better read this. Most people are driven to over eat because of their emotions. Stress and boredom are just some of the emotions that trigger overeating; we often use food as our mechanism to handle these kinds of emotion. We commonly thrive on the good feeling that our comfort food projects but subsequently it also leads to weight gain that usually produce feelings of guilt shame and stress as well.

So instead of leaning to emotional eating why try to explore the emotions behind the behavior and look for a better outlet where you can relieve your self. As a replacement for being a couch potato why not go out and play some sports instead.

Break fast is the most important meal and not eating a balanced one will result to weight increase.  The usual breakfast include large variations of refined carbohydrates or sugar. And instead of this meal giving you more energy it sets our body up for an increase in cravings  this leads to increase in secretion of insulin and the surplus will be stored as fat. An option will be having food with complex carbohydrates this will keep your insulin level stable and will make you feel full for longer periods of time.

Fat-free is not a license to overeat!

mpen104lTo be able to cut weight gain we have been accustomed to cut fat intake, thus our grocery list  have been filled with  low fat products or  fat free foods in their labels. But sometimes don’t we wonder? Instead of shredding those unwanted fat or maintaining our physique we do the exact opposite, and at that point we ask our selves what happen? The intake of low fat food happen, instead of using fat these types of foods uses sugar this results to higher amount of calories. Another is that they contain refined carbohydrates which lead to over secretion   of insulin and more insulin means bulking up of fats. Still the best option is eating fruits and vegetables, a well balanced diet of complex carbohydrates with lean meat in every meal.
A huge decline of body metabolism which leads to weight gain can be signs of hyperthyroidism. Other problems associated with are constipation, fatigue, inability to focus and a dry skin may also be caused by a hormone deficiency in our thyroid glands. The weight increase happens when our body retains water and accumulates fats caused by the proteins lodged in our body. We encourage you to speak to your doctors if you feel these kinds of disorder.
